Cilicia Anderson is a strategic communications and development leader with a passion for storytelling that builds community and drives impact. As Director of Communications and Development for OneJax in Jacksonville, FL, she leads all aspects of brand strategy, donor engagement, and community outreach for the interfaith nonprofit dedicated to fostering mutual respect across diverse beliefs and backgrounds.

At OneJax, Cilicia oversees internal and external communications, manages fundraising and donor relations, and has spearheaded the organization's rebranding following its return to 501(c)(3) status. She has advanced CRM utilization to improve data tracking and reporting, and her creative outreach initiatives have strengthened connections with Jacksonville's diverse populations.

Previously, Cilicia served as Communications and Media Relations Manager at Edward Waters University, where she directed all communications, marketing, and assisted in fundraising efforts. She revitalized the university's CRM database to enhance donor tracking, developed strategic communication plans aligned with institutional goals, and strengthened donor stewardship initiatives. As the primary media liaison, she managed crisis communications and served as the university's photographer and videographer for presidential events, leveraging visual storytelling to elevate institutional branding.

Cilicia's career also includes work with the Florida Small Business Development Center at Florida A&M University, where she coordinated marketing initiatives to support small business growth. Her journalism background includes roles as a staff writer and layout designer for Capital Outlook in Tallahassee and as an associate producer for FAMU TV20.

A graduate of Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, Cilicia brings expertise in strategic communications, donor cultivation, multimedia production, and data-informed storytelling. Her diverse skill set positions her as a versatile leader who crafts compelling narratives and implements innovative strategies that amplify organizational impact.
