About Me
Unveiling the Writer
I am Cilicia Anderson, a proud Alumna of Florida A&M University, graduating with my B.S. in Broadcast Journalism. I am proud to serve as the Communications and Media Relations Manager for the Division of Institutional Advancement at Edward Waters University. Originally from Tampa, Florida I moved to Tallahassee in 2018 and began working for the Capital Outlook Newspaper in 2019 as a staff writer and layout designer. I also worked for Hallelujah 95.3 FM (originally WTAL 1450) as an on-air personality and radio board operator, hosting my own segment "What's Happening With Cici?" and reporting weather and traffic. In 2021 I began my marketing internship with the Florida Small Business Development Center at FAMU (FSBDC at FAMU) and began doing freelance social media marketing and P.R. for a number of small nonprofit organizations such as SheSpeaksSolutions, Inc and SHĒ. While attending FAMU, I was published in the FAMUAN Newspaper and was a part of the Wednesday Newscast Crew for FAMU News 20. Upon graduation, I accepted the position of Administrative Assistant and Database Manager for the Division of Institutional Advancement, Development, Marketing and Communications at Edward Waters University.
As a multi-faceted journalist and marketing coordinator, I strive to excel in everything that I do. I am a driven and passionate writer and reporter, aiming for perfection in my work. I plan to continue growing, making meaningful connections in the community, and inspiring people through my work.
